mâmaw nêhiyawêwin (Ages 5–12)

mâmaw nêhiyawêwin is a welcoming, play-based Plains Cree language program for young children and their caregivers. Rooted in connection, culture, and community, this program introduces Cree through songs, movement, storytelling, and interactive activities.
Designed for early childhood development, sessions focus on creating a safe and joyful space where children can hear, experience, and engage with the Cree language in a natural and meaningful way. Caregivers are encouraged to participate alongside their children, supporting language learning together.
No prior experience is needed—listening, playing, and being present are all that’s required.
