Group Guitar Lessons

Back again by popular demand, we have once again partnered with our friends at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music to offer FREE weekly group guitar lessons for youth! Folks will learn how to tune a guitar, how to strum, play notes and chords, and learn to play some songs! Guitars will be available to borrow, but folks are welcome to bring their own, if they’d like to! Spaces are limited, so rock n’ roll & register now!

Folks of all genders, backgrounds, and abilities are welcome!

mâmaw nêhiyawêwin – Cree Language United

Join us for a fun, welcoming, and culturally grounded virtual Cree language program for youth ages 13–17!
This biweekly program creates a safe space for young people to learn the basics of nêhiyawêwin through games, interactive activities, and beginner-friendly lessons to support youth in building cultural identity, confidence, and positive social connections. Together we’ll explore Cree vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple conversational phrases, while also including Indigenous teachings like the Medicine Wheel and opportunities for self-reflection.
Whether you’re completely new to the language or want to reconnect, all levels are welcome.

Sacred Pathways is meant to guide youth on a journey through traditional practices, including craftwork, beading, medicine wheel teachings, sacred medicine knowledge, and ceremonial smudging.

This program creates safe spaces for youth to engage in land-based teachings and meet other like-minded youth!

Pride Ribbon Hoodies Workshop

Are you a member or an ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community? Looking for a fun way to spend your day off from school? Join us for this FREE workshop for youth ages 13-17 to make your very own pride flag ribbon hoodie! Using sewing machines, folks will create their own pride flag out of ribbons to make their hoodie sew unique! New to sewing? Not a problem! Everyone will go home with a beautiful hoodie they can wear with pride! Supper, snacks, and materials will be provided.

Soapstone Creations

Don’t get left out in the dust! Carve out some time for creativity and try your hand at soapstone carving at this FREE program for youth ages 13-17! Folks will learn some traditional rock teachings and give soapstone carving a try for themselves! No matter your level of experience, join us to make some new friends and create a project that rocks! Snacks and materials will be provided.

Youth Dungeons & Dragons Night

Bent Arrow’s Gender Diversity Committee is calling all adventurers! Join us in the Gym where we will open with a smudge and prayer, then move to character building, tabletop roleplaying, and lots of laughs!

Dice provided, but feel free to bring your own! Food and refreshments will be provided while supplies last. NEW PLAYERS WELCOME!

Discover the beauty of winter with Kikosewin and Spirit North as you glide through peaceful snowy trails and connect with nature on this guided cross-country ski adventure. Enjoy fresh air, stunning views, and a fun way to move and unwind outdoors.
