Little Readers, Big Dreams
An engaging onsite program for children to come with parents/ caregivers focused on promoting early literacy through storytelling with, play-based, creation craft making, connection building through Indigenous children book authors in Canada with fun crafts to take home.
Participants will build early resilience and connection through storytelling, play-based activities, cultural teachings, and collaborative projects designed to encourage early reading and writing skills, kinship, and community connection. Nutritional snacks will be provided and drinks.
Programs will take place on site using indoor and outdoor spaces surrounding the building.

mâmawi pimâtisiwin: Living Together on the Land
Join us for a land-based Indigenous cultural program focused on connection, creativity, and wellness through the teachings of the medicine wheel. Each session will explore one aspect of the medicine wheel — emotional, mental, spiritual, or physical wellness — through hands-on activities, storytelling, nature-based learning, and cultural teachings.
Programs will take place onsite and within the surrounding outdoor spaces, creating opportunities for children and youth to build relationships with the land, themselves, and one another in a safe and welcoming environment.
Activities may include nature art, medicine walks, storytelling, games, cultural teachings, land-based crafts, and group reflection.

Indigenous Games
Summer is here, and it’s time for fun, laughter, and exciting activities. The Kikosewin Family Resource Network (FRN) invites participants of all ages to join us for Indigenous Games, where traditional play meets learning and community connection. This engaging program promotes physical activity, cultural appreciation, and a deeper understanding of Indigenous traditions while creating opportunities for families and community members to learn, play, and grow together.

Get ready to make a splash this summer!
The Summer Splash & Dash program is one water-filled adventure you won't want to miss. Kikosewin creates a fun, safe, and exciting space where children can cool off, beat the heat, and enjoy the best of summer. Participants will enjoy a variety of water games, team challenges, and interactive activities designed to keep everyone active, laughing, and engaged.
Whether it's splashing with friends, racing through water obstacles, or taking part in creative outdoor games, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
