Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society 2nd Annual
Powwow Royalty Pageant 2017

Our 2nd Annual Bent Arrow Pageant is now underway and the following is a list of the specifications for the Pageant, created to help our young ladies and men strive to keep their traditions and culture alive, and to be a positive role model for the communities, families and the youth that we serve.  Our Pageant Royalty will represent Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society at community events within our agency, as well as a Goodwill Ambassador out in the communities throughout the powwow circle and at events or gatherings requested to attend on behalf of Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society.

Junior Princess Pageant

  • Must complete application process
  • Age 6 – 12 years
  • Must be connected to a Bent Arrow Program
  • Must dance one of the Powwow Categories
  • Raffle Ticket sales
  • Must be able to share a traditional story/song during your speech

Senior Princess Pageant

  • Must complete application process
  • Ages 13 – 17 years
  • Must be connected to a Bent Arrow Program
  • Raffle Ticket sales
  • Must be a positive role model/live a healthy lifestyle
  • Must dance one of the Powwow Categories
  • Must be able to share a traditional story/song during your speech

Little Warrior (NEW this year!)

  • Must complete application process
  • Ages 0 – 6 years
  • Must be connected to a Bent Arrow Program
  • Raffle Ticket Sales
  • Must dance one of the Powwow Categories

* The Royalty will be announced at the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society Annual General Meeting at the end of June 2017.
* Closing date for applications will be May 5, 2017.
* Closing date for Raffle Ticket Sales will be June 15, 2017.
* Pageant will be held at the Powwow Night Celebration on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
